SCROOMS Ocarina Guide: Songs and Return Travel
Use the Ocarina’s fifth hotbar slot, separate utility songs from catching gear, and play Homeward Melody to return to your set spawn.
The Ocarina is SCROOMS' utility song tool, separate from the instrument you use for catching. After its unlock, it appears in hotbar slot 5; Homeward Melody uses Left, Down, Up, Left to return you to your set spawn point.
Keep the song tool separate from catching equipment
| Tool family | Job | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Catching instruments | Tune and control creature captures | Wooden Lute or Tamer’s Guitar |
| Ocarina | Play utility melodies | Homeward Melody returns to set spawn |
Changing your catching instrument improves a capture job. Opening the Ocarina gives you a different interaction: playing a learned melody. Keeping those jobs separate helps when an equipment comparison discusses the lute or guitar while a quest reward introduces the Ocarina.
Halden's early statue task supplies the unlock. If the fifth-slot tool is still missing, finish that quest and its return conversation rather than searching the instrument shop for a replacement. The acquisition guide follows that route.
Play the return melody deliberately
Open the Ocarina and use its arrow buttons in the sequence Left, Down, Up, Left for Homeward Melody. The song returns you to the spawn point you have set. That destination matters: it is not a command that always takes every player to the original Grove spawn.
When you want to return from an exploration trip, think about where the set spawn will place you before playing. If that is the useful destination for your next task, the melody saves the return walk. If it is not, finish the nearby task before choosing the return trip.
Learn a melody by its actual effect
Read the song's displayed name and purpose rather than assuming every tune performs Homeward Melody's travel job. Exploration songs and catching equipment belong to different decisions, and a preview of a later song is not a complete unlock route.
Use the Homeward Melody walkthrough when you want the exact return sequence. For the first unlock, the five statue landmarks give you a concrete route toward Halden's Ocarina reward.
Select the unlocked utility in the official Roblox game when your goal is playing a song.
