SCROOMS Halden Guide: Statue Quest and Song Progression

Last updated 2026-10-11Unofficial player article

Use Halden’s camp conversation, complete the five-statue respects, claim the Ocarina, and move from quest completion into return-song utility.

Halden runs the early SCROOMS quest that leads to the Ocarina. After the opening tutorial sends you to him, speak to Halden, pay respects at all five Grove Statues, and return to claim the song tool.

Visit for the song-tool reward

Halden's role is different from Leo's starter gift or Julian's merchant service. He connects the early progression route to utility songs through The Next Step. If your goal is the Ocarina, his statue task is the concrete route to follow.

Find him at the Grove camp with a log, campfire, and red tents. Speak to the NPC rather than searching for a catchable creature called Halden. The named quest destination is a character conversation, followed by a landmark task.

Complete the respects before returning

Interact with five distinct statues using Pay Respects, with E on keyboard. You can visit them in any order. Keep the landmark names separate so you do not count the same pedestal twice while overlooking the shop-back or lift-side stop.

Use the statue locations for the five landmarks. When the interactions are finished, return to Halden and speak again; the reward belongs to that completion conversation.

Use the Ocarina alongside catching gear

The Ocarina is a song tool, while the lute, guitar, and other catching instruments handle the capture loop. You can continue improving catching equipment while using the unlocked Ocarina for utility melodies.

Homeward Melody returns you to your set spawn point. If travel is the reason you followed Halden's task, the song walkthrough is the next useful step after claiming the reward. If you have not yet found him, use Halden's camp location rather than wandering through creature entries in the Index.

Check Halden’s active objective in the official SCROOMS game before visiting the statues.
